WAVE OLD GLORY
A blueberry speared with
toothpick flags dresses up a pie,
homemade or purchased, in no
time. Look for toothpick flags at
grocery and party-supply stores.
PATCHWORK PRETTY Paper
napkins in a variety of patterns,
plus a little tape, yield a fun and
easy table runner,
below left.
Lay
out napkins (we used lunch size,
but cocktail size would also
work) in a desired design, tape
edges together, and flip over.
SNAPPY SNACKS Send guests to
the fireworks show with paper-
wrapped buckets,
below
, filled
with munchies. Wrap
scrapbooking paper and a ribbon
around an unused paint bucket
(available at containerstore.com),
adhering both with double-stick
tape. Add a label, tuck plastic
bags of treats inside, and go. 62)
